Discover. Create. Grow.
Welcome class of 2029! I am thrilled to be moving to 3rd Grade this year! Some of you will have had me last year or remember having me for math or just seeing me around in Grade 2 last year. I am so excited to kick of the new year and new learning with you all!
Reading & Writing
Our district follows the Reading & Writing Worshop model. Students will continue bringing home leveled books to and from school daily. A reading log will be recorded for homework. Students are expected to be reading for 100 minutes a week (i.e. 20 minutes 5x per week). This allows families flexibility with busy after school schedules.
During the year I will be sending home Scholastic Book club flyers for books to purchase. This is completely voluntary. Books purchased using our classroom code earn points towards books for our classroom library. Thanks for your support!

Math:
During this year students will focus on mastering math fluency in addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Below is the link to the xtramath site that will be assigned for homework. Using this site students will practice math facts and both parents/guardians and I will be able to track their progress throughout the year.
